tis the season

  

Family Thanksgiving, It was a Richins year for thanksgiving and the whole family was there, all 16 of us! This year we added 3 new members to the family. It just keeps growing and gets better with each new member!

              Playing games. Nick looks a little too comfortable with baby Lila, she is our favorite niece(also our only niece) we love spending time with Lila and the boys. It's no wonder why Nick is favorite uncle!              

 Decorating the Tree! Nick and I got a real tree this year, it's our first Christmas tree. It only took me 2 1/2 hours and 550 lights but I finally got it done!

 I may be a little more excited then Nick. I started celebrating Christmas pretty much the day after Halloween! All you who judge, judge away once you spend Christmas in a non christian society, you realize it is never to early to bring in the spirit of Christ!

Christmas is a feeling, and its clearly in the air. Nick and I are very excited to spend this Christmas together, to start our own family traditions!

A Blessed Weekend

 

  Last sunday we got to go to baby Beckham's blessing and we had a lot of fun, these are just a few pictures.

 Nick has been in our family now for about 5 months and somehow he has managed to be favorite uncle, this is him and stratty playing outside.

 The three amigos, I love this picture because as I was taking pictures the boys came over one at a time to have their picture take I bent down to get a better shot and so all three boys decided to do the same thing. They are so cute and the best cousins.

It was a long day for some. but Hayley did a great job and hosting all of us in her house we had a lot of fun! It was one of those days where we counted our blessings. Sometimes in life we tend to get wrapped up in the unimportant little things, it takes days like this to remind us the picture is a lot bigger then what we can see. Life is all about perspective and when it comes right down to it all we need in life is the gospel and our families and nothing else really matters.

                                                       It rained, it poured, but we loved it!

It's been awhile but we final got our wedding pictures back! so I thought i'd post some for those of you who care! It was a great 3 days of wedding events for us since we split up the wedding day and the reception. We were married the 18th of May, it was a Wednesday and it was freezing cold and pouring rain! The ironic part is we had a 7 month engagement because i didn't want to be married in the cold and gloomy weather. I sure learned my lesson! However we were very blessed that day, we were married in the Salt Lake Temple where we were the 8th of only 8 weddings they had that day. So we had all the time in the world and lots of sweet temple workers to follow us around. It turned out to be the best day ever!

The unexpexted road to happiness!

 well, its been awhile since i've written... about 8 months to be exact, and in the last 8 months my whole life has changed. On May 18th 2011 i married Nicholas Davis. It was the best day of my life!

 so to catch up, here are some of our engagement photos, we had them taken at the state capitol by our little brothers. 

 The ring...Nick proposed on November 13, 2010. He took me to park city for the day, where we had lunch and shopped. He then took me to the location of our second date. There on the little trail he asked me to marry him!

Just the two of us! since the day we met its been just the two of us! we dated for about 3 months before we got engaged and after that it was just the long 7 month wait till our wedding day. Its all been the best time of my life. Nick is everything i could ask for in life. He looks out for me and cares for me and treats me like a princess! Every day with him is a day spent in heaven, I couldn't be more happy! He is my knight in shining armor. He is all i need in life, and now begins the rest of forever!
